This is a typical row of buildings in a small Tuscan village near Volterra. I really like the natural earth colors of the stones and bricks and variety of window shapes. Geraniums and ivy make nice pops of color.
What can I say? This was very unusual for me to see wild boar like this in a shop in Tuscany. We spent a day driving around south of Pomarance and encountered a street fair in a small village. Wandering around town, we found this shop and others whose specialties were boar, sausage and cheese.
European storefronts are generally a feast for the eyes and these hanging soaps caught my attention. They looked like citrus, smelled really good and were made with olive oil. Pomarance is a small village just south of Volterra, in the Tuscany region.
